You

You’re a few years into your marketing career, and you’re really starting to find your feet. You’re naturally curious and know there’s still plenty to learn.

Working as part of a team, you can take a vague brief and turn it into something workable to develop and deliver imaginative and inspired B2B marketing campaigns.

You’re happy to get stuck in where needed–developing strategy, proposing ideas, overseeing production, writing copy, managing clients, and reporting back.

You live your life with your eyes and mind open. You’re a lover of the arts–whether that’s La Nouvelle Vague, Anton Chekov, or RuPaul’s Drag Race. We don’t mind where you draw your creative inspiration from, we just care you bring it with you to fuel ideas and keep campaigns fresh.

You’re experienced in building and maintaining productive client relationships, thinking ahead to pre-empt their needs. And you can process complex information quickly and respond with considered, insightful comment.

Ideally, you’ve got 2-3+ years at an agency under your belt, but we’ll make exceptions if you’re exceptional.

Us

Catalysis is a specialist B2B marketing consultancy. We fuse customer and industry knowledge to build content and campaigns that speak from an outside-in perspective.

Among our clients are Autodesk, Capgemini, HPE, IBM, and another that’s bigger than all four of those, but that contractually we can’t mention here. We’re proud to be one of few independent agencies that engages with so many of the tech industry’s heavy hitters, at a global level.

Our clients like us because we hire interesting, smart people and help them do their best work. As part of that, we’ve built a detailed training framework with that supports people to progress their careers and explore specialisms when they’re ready.

We’re committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion and our team is home to people from a wide range of backgrounds. We’re also keeping a keen eye on our environmental impact, and are working to become a zero-waste, 100%-carbon-offset business.

The job

Lead consultants are primary points of contact for clients, managing projects and heading up small consultant/studio teams to deliver campaigns. They support from initial briefing through to ideation, proposal development, content creation, and reporting back.

Typical campaigns involve the production, management, and sometimes deployment of several content pieces–from eguides and social banners, through to video and animation, and interactive web and immersive mobile apps.

Catalysis is slightly unusual in that although we have specialist writers on the team, all our consultants get stuck in with copywriting too. It means they get an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, which our clients appreciate.

Your time will be split between content strategy, copywriting, working closely with our in-house studio, and account management duties across 2-3 different client teams.

The job

You’ll play a pivotal, client-facing role across two to three of our largest B2B technology accounts. The role is fast-paced and can be quite intense, with multiple priorities and deadlines to be juggled.

You’ll work closely with consultancy and creative teams, developing and maintaining a clear and detailed overview of everything that’s happening across the account. And you’ll help lead the team to deliver a range of content assets on time, to budget, and to an exceptional standard.

  • Where multiple projects are in motion with the same client, ensuring deliverables align on messaging, tone, style, and quality, and that projects are scheduled to maximise resources across teams
  • Reviewing content (anything from a tweet to an animation to a white paper) to ensure client objectives are met, messaging is aligned, and quality is maintained
  • Working with the consultants and creatives to ideate and develop campaign proposals, advising on which assets should be created to support the client’s objectives and how they should be used and distributed
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services, ensuring they are fully briefed to support project requirements, and that quality and deadlines are monitored and adhered to
  • Taking responsibility for financial tracking and planning; scoping and pricing new projects; tracking budget spend and flagging any issues proactively
